Using a suitcase as an alternative embedded screen, Left Behind invites viewers to pull away layers of clothes and peer inside to discover the world inside.
BEHIND THE SCENES
Left Behind is inspired by movies like Mary Poppins and Horton Hears a Who where entire worlds lived inside of small, unassuming objects. The installation explores a world in which everyday belongings lost to travel and adventure could magically appear.
Left Behind invites the viewer to peer into the unknown depths of a suitcase, a symbol of travel. Floating in the mirage of a color-changing sky, forgotten belongings resurface to remind us of the things we have abandoned and reminisce on the memories tied to these lost objects.
